Camp Kay wrapped up with eight weeks of joyful discovery and imaginative play. Junior Rangers (ages 2 ½ to 5) performed in a circus, traveled to outer space, made story boxes, built miniature cities with recycled materials, explored ocean treasures and studied garden creatures. Senior Scouts (ages 6 to 12) discovered art in nature, created boats, vehicles, mini cities and Rube Goldberg devices, and organized a festival for their circus performing friends. Professional Percussionist and storyteller Kofi Dennis engaged campers each day with creative drama, storytelling, and music and movement. Mr. Kofi has been a Master Teaching Artist with the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning through the Arts since 1998. He provides Arts Integrated classroom residencies in music and creative drama for early childhood educators throughout the region and worldwide.
